A simple page will typically cost you around £30, including the cost of a simple Cascade Style Sheet and a very basic frame system. A simple page may include quite a lot of text, as the hardest part of a page is the layout and designing the look of a webpage. Depending on the work needed to make the page, extra charges maybe incurred, however very simple pages will come with a discount of a lower page. For example a typical businessman report would cost £20, as although the basic document layout has been designed before the need for the bold character names pushes the price back up to £20. If the layout needed designing as well, then an extra charge of £5 would be added to the cost of the page.

A simple SHTML website allows the advanced benefit of some very basic dynamics on the page. The main benefit is a feature called server side includes, which allows common code repeated in a site to be put in its own separate document, and then loaded up on lots of different pages. This allows quicker production of new pages, and makes the coding them much easier, as there is less code in the page. It also allows the style of your website to be changed very quickly, as for example a change the header can be done by changing one file instead of having to change the code manually on every single page. Another benefit is that new pages can be added very quickly and for a much cheaper price.

ASP Websites offer a similar abilities to a SHTML website (in fact very easy to produce an ASP website from a SHTML one, and we will convert an existing SHTML website into ASP for you if needed). The extra benefits of an asp website is the added support for more dynamic scripts, and the advantage of use of Databases etc. There are lots of extra scripts that can be added to your site from pre built ones we have written, and of course we can write ones epically for your need. Images that require almost no work will be free of charge (provided you have ordered over £60 of work from us). An example of a free image could be one that just required us to resize the image, or just re-compression an image for quicker loading on the net. However images that require a lot of work may be charged at slightly higher rate.

We cannot quote a typical price for hosting, as we do not such a service directly, however we will recommend you a company based on your needs, and set up the account with them if you require us to do so. You can use your own ISP for the hosting of your website however there are problems with using a ISP. These problems are that ISPs don’t always offer a lot of webspace, almost always offer no extra features and the address for the website is usually quite poor. If you need a hosting package we tend to use the services of Company’s such as Simple Names, uk2net, kanganet and many more, just depending on the exact needs of your website.

A domain name is the address of a website, such as www.pobice.co.uk. A Domain name is not something like www.webhost.co.uk/website/. We do not directly register Domain names, but we use other companies, hence why we cannot quote a price. It all depends on what you need from you domain name on which company we register it with. Company’s we have used in the past included uk2net, simplenames and Easyspace, and can cost as little as £9.99 for two years (.co.uk domain). Some domain names may come as free with your hosting company, or as part of the package. 

Most websites at some point need updating. We can change various pieces of information on a page from as little as £5 for a simple change. We will also add to your website based on the prices above. Some of the advanced ASP pages will not need regular updating from us, and can be maintained by your company, or if needed be by us at a much lower cost per change (again depending on what is needed).
